My Thaumatrope, what it is and how it works
THAUMATROPE A card with different pictures on opposite sides, as a horse on one side and a rider on the other, which appear as if combined when the card is twirled rapidly, thus illustrating the persistence of visual impressions. Considering the limitations of the thaumatrope as entertainment: · How much fun is it? For how long? It isn't much fun but only a little exciting to make as you're interested to see what the outcome will be. the entire process is fun just because its practical and you get to see your thumatrope come alive. · How easy is it to make? It is fairly simple, however, on my thumatrope making sheet which had down all the instructions on how to make it and it didnt state the fact that i had to stick my pictures upside down facing outwards in order for my thumatrope to work so i had to re-do it in order for it to work successfully. · What can’t it do? (compared to an animated film for instance)
